- Deadline for submission of abstracts : 27 May 2016
- Deadline for submission of papers: 10 July 2016
- Deadline for registrations: 10 July 2016
CHC invites scholars, teachers/educators, thought leaders, doctoral candidates and other interested participants and research students to submit a title and 200-word abstract for presentations in accordance with the symposium theme by 27 May 2016.
In an effort to disseminate a cross-section of the wealth of Christian education experience today, the CHC Higher Education Research Symposium intends to publish a compendium of research after the event. Contributions to this publication are welcome in one of two possible formats: Full paper (up to 3,000 words) OR 1-page summary (500 words). These submissions will need to be received by 10 July 2016 and presented at the symposium on 18/19 July 2016 by at least one contributing author. The decision as to which contributions may be selected for publication will be made by the editorial committee after the research symposium.
Subject to the research papers offered, the Symposium Program will organise papers into various streams so that conferees may specialise in their relevant areas of interest. Abstract submissions should therefore nominate preferred discipline areas, which may include pedagogy, philosophy, psychology, theology/ Biblical studies, curriculum development, preschool/ primary/ secondary/ tertiary education, incarnational approaches to teaching & research, didactic art, contemporary societal trends, special education, cognitive sciences (e.g., neuroscience), and educational technology.
