Enrolment Information
Christian Heritage College welcomes applications from all qualified applicants, although the availability of places may be limited in some courses. Everyone who applies is treated fairly and the allocation of places is based on merit although we may take into account any educational disadvantage that you may have experienced.
Our application procedures are intended to help you make an informed decision about whether CHC and the particular course you have applied for are appropriate choices in view of your educational and career goals.
CHC has open, fair and transparent procedures, which are based on merit, for making decisions about the selection of students who are to benefit from various kinds of Commonwealth support. The opportunities and benefits of Commonwealth assistance are equally available to all eligible students.
Application to all undergraduate courses except the Bachelor Social Sciences (Counselling) and
Bachelor Social Sciences (Chaplaincy) is via QTAC - Queensland Tertiary Admission Centre.
Appliction for the Bachelor Social Sciences (Counselling) and Bachelor Social Sciences (Chaplaincy) and all post graduate
courses is via direct entry to Christian Heritage College. Application form.
There are three times in a year when you can make an application. The closing dates for direct entry applications are:
31st October each year for semester 1 of the subsequent year
31st May for semester 2 of the same calendar year; and
31st October for the summer semester
Applications may be lodged after the closing date; however, late applications might not be considered for the first round of offers.
Offers of Admission
There are generally two rounds of offers in each semester, with a third round possible where places remain available.
Semester 1 first round offers are made in early to mid-January, with a second round in late January.
Semester 2 offers are made in late June to early July.
Please note: Preservice Education courses are not available for commencement in the Summer Semester.
You may be required to participate in an interview as part of the process for selecting candidates to be offered a place in a course at the College.
Transfer of Credit
Applicants who have completed previous higher education studies may be granted credit towards Christian Heritage College awards. Credit will normally be granted for approved prior learning for relevant and equivalent studies (or other demonstrated achievement) completed in the previous 10 years. For students seeking to gain credit for previous studies, a Transfer of Credit Form must be completed and returned with the Application for Admission form.
