The Bachelor of Social Science is a three-year course (full time equivalent), and is available to continuing students only.
The Bachelor of Social Science will cease being offered at the end of Semester 2, 2018. All students who have been approved to remain in the course must abide by the individual course maps that were issued to them in 2016. Any proposed variations to these course maps must be discussed with the Course Coordinator and may result in students being unable to complete the course.
All course requirements must be completed by the end of Semester 2, 2018 as CHC is unable to confer this award after 2018.

Students who are enrolled in the Bachelor of Social Science may exit with the Diploma of Social Science, subject to the completion of course requirements.
The Bachelor of Social Science is:
- accredited by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) and appears in the list of accredited CHC courses on the National Register of Higher Education Providers.
- approved for offering to overseas students and appears on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
- approved for FEE-HELP, Youth Allowance/Abstudy and Austudy (personal eligibility requirements apply).
Students who complete the ACWA Pathway program of study in the Bachelor of Social Science (SS11) can gain membership with the Australian Community Workers Association (ACWA).
