Sessional Lecturer

Doug has been a psychotherapist and educator/trainer with more than forty years’ experience working with individuals, couples and groups with a particular focus on mental health and personal growth. He recently retired from his role as State Manager with Salvos Counselling after twenty-four years but continues to practice privately. Doug has lectured in Social Science for twenty-four years and has presented nationally and internationally at seminars and workshops on a range of topics from Sexual Abuse and Offending to Aging and Dementia, drumming for health.

Over the years Doug has authored several articles in Counselling and Psychotherapy Journals and Magazines and is a Clinical Member of the Queensland Counsellors Association (QCA) and is PACFA registered.
