General Information
The Graduate Certificate in Christian Education is a one semester full time course, or part time equivalent, which is designed to provide professional development to qualified and experienced Christian teachers. It is aimed particularly at teaches who have already completed a Bachelor of Education but who want to undertake studies which will assist them to develop Christian perspectives and professional education practices. The course emphasises reflecting critically on the role and tasks of the Christian professional teacher, and the mission, philosophy and practices of Christian schooling, and becoming equipped to translate this reflection on education into practice.
The Graduate Certificate in Christian Education is available by external mode, and is offered on a full time and part time basis, subject to the availability of units.
The Graduate Certificate in Christian Education requires 40 credit points for completion.
Course Accreditations
- CHC Education & Humanities courses are accredited by the Qld Minister for Education and by the Qld College of Teachers
- CHC is approved under the Higher Education Support Act 2003
- All undergraduate courses are approved for HECS-HELP/ Youth Allowance/Abstudy and Austudy

Course Structure
GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN CHRISTIAN EDUCATION (ED42)
Students undertake a total of 40 Credit Points of Core units and Elective units, where each unit carries a weighting of 10 credit points. Core units must be completed prior to Elective units being undertaken.
