General Information

The Graduate Certificate in Social Science is designed to equip students who are interested in pursuing postgraduate studies with a foundational understanding of social science theories, skills and ethical principles, as well as a solid grounding in a Christian worldview. As such, it forms a foundation on which further studies in more specialised fields of the social sciences can be built. In addition, the Graduate Certificate in Social Science is designed to provide specific professional development opportunities for graduates working in an applied social science field who would benefit from specific theoretical and practical training and/or a greater appreciation of the nature and significance of a Christian worldview.

Applicants who do not possess higher education experience are required to enrol in the unit LA410 Academic and Professional Communication as an enabling course. Applicants will be admitted to the Graduate Certificate in Social Science upon the successful completion of this unit.

Please note that certain units can be completed oncampus only, in either Internal or Intensive modes (as offered). Please contact the School of Social Sciences Administration Office for further details.
