What were you doing before you became Dean of Social Sciences at CHC?

My family and I moved to Brisbane from South Africa in January 2008. I then worked for Citipointe Ministry College as Course Coordinator of the Bachelor of Ministry degree and oversaw all student matters.

Qualifications?

BA, BD (Theology), MCouns, DTh.

Tell us about the School of Social Sciences…

I see the mission of the School of Social Sciences as dovetailing the mission of CHC itself: Transforming people to transform their world. That’s what we do in Social Sciences. My personal vision and calling (since I was 26) is really the same: to connect exceptionally well, to make people whole and equip them to change their own world.

Tell us about your family…

I’ve been very happily married to my wife, Jacoliene, for 13 years. We have 2 beautiful children. Our daughter is Ruvon (7) and our son is Shian (4).

What do you do when you’re not at CHC?

I love all sports. I’m actively involved in triathlons.
