School of Christian Studies

The School of Christian Studies provides an integrating thread throughout all the undergraduate courses (and most of the postgraduate course) offered by Christian Heritage College (with the exception of courses offered by the School of Ministries).

The School of Christian Studies provides the core Christian Studies units which are foundational to students' courses, and students are encouraged to integrate the learning from these units into their professional studies and practice. Core units are offered as on-campus units except to those students who are studying by Distance Education, who may undertake them as external units (CS 100 is on-campus only).

The School of Christian Studies also provides a range of units for students across schools who are undertaking Christian Studies majors or as general electives in undergraduate (and some postgraduate) programs. Please note that elective units are offered on a rotational basis.

Core Units:
CS100 - Christian Discipleship
CS120 - Introduction to the Bible
CS200/CS400 - Christianity and Worldviews
CS300 - Christianity Spirituality and Philosophy

Elective Units:
CS140 - Introduction to Christian Spirituality
CS211 - Servant Leadership
CS213/CS413 - Building Christian Community
CS251 - Christianity and Other Religions

All CS units (subject to availability and prerequisite requirements) can be studied on a cross-institutional basis for students who are enrolled in higher education courses with other institutions. They can also be studied on a miscellaneous basis, either for credit or as audit, for personal interest and development.
