Lea is an Australian Aboriginal woman from southeast Queensland and northeast New South Wales regions.  She is also a descendant of the South Sea Islander people with kinship connections to the Warlpiri people in the Northern Territory. Lea is currently the Operations Manager for the Jisas Wantaim Aboriginal Corporation, and Lecturer for the ASC Indigenous Cultures class. She has had an extensive career working in government to support indigenous Australians, most recently as an Assistant Human Rights Officer for the anti-discrimination Commission. Prior to this she was employed by the Department of Communities, the Bimbadeen National Indigenous Training Association, and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission. The ASC is so grateful our students have the benefit of her wisdom and experience, while striving to understand Australian Indigenous culture.
