Clare Carmona

Clare Carmona is a dedicated and experienced clinical counsellor with over eight years of professional experience working with children, teenagers, and families. With postgraduate studies in neuroscience, Clare brings a deep understanding of brain development and emotional regulation to her counselling practice. She currently works as a school counsellor, specialising in supporting young people and their families through life’s challenges with compassion and insight.

A proud member of PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia), Clare is passionate about helping parents build strong, connected relationships with their children. Her work is grounded in empathy, respect, and a commitment to evidence-based approaches.

In addition to her professional role, Clare is a wife and mother to five daughters, aged between 9 and 24, and draws on her lived experience to support and relate to the families she works with. Outside of counselling, Clare enjoys camping, hiking, church community life, spending time with loved ones, and designing programs in her areas of passion.

Clare is a lifelong learner with a keen interest in ongoing professional development. Her current areas of focus include solution-focused family therapy, complex trauma, and systemic approaches to family healing.
